IL YMCA Youth and Government Fall Fundraiser

Let's celebrate the launch of Illinois YMCA Youth and Government's 76th program year! With over 40,000 alumni, we are at the forefront of inspiring young leaders through hands-on experiences in the workings of democracy.

Last year, we increased our scholarships by 400%, providing over $28,000 in awards and ensuring that financial limitations did not impede any student's ability to participate. We anticipate scholarship requests will increase again this year, and that's where you come in—playing a vital role in the accessibility of our program.

The event will feature current Youth & Government student delegates sharing their stories of how the program has helped them learn about government, civic engagement, and their ability to impact their communities. Entertainment will include a judicial showcase from the 2024 National Judicial Competition winners, a team from our very own Waubonsie Valley High School delegation!
