Make a Difference in this Season of Giving!
For 74 years, Illinois YMCA Youth and Government has made a difference in thousands of Illinois students' lives. Students from across the state come together to advocate, debate, discuss issues that impact their lives now and in the future.
The impact the program has on our students is immense. From what the Garners say in the video from Giving Tuesday to what one of our candidates for office below says, our program makes change for the good:
Through educating oneself
about what the prominent issues that affect society, we become inspired to
advocate for meaningful change that benefits everyone. This club has
essentially made me a better person in the sense of empathizing with issues
that might not affect me, but do negatively impact countless others in our
communities.
