3 Easy Ways to Get Involved!

As summer starts, the Illinois Youth and Government team is busy at work preparing for the next school year, and we need to ask for your help.

As you know, we have had to adapt over the past several years to ensure that our students are able to participate safely during the pandemic and continue to deliver high-quality program offerings to enhance the Youth and Government experience for our students.

That is why we are asking you to help in 3 easy ways!

1. Donate! We want to get our next fiscal year off to a great start and ensure we can cover the expected and unexpected costs to ensure the safety of 1,000 high school students, teachers and volunteers at our events next school year.
2. Share! Our students will be participating in a social media takeover on June 23 to inspire our supporters and the public. We’ll be building up to this day over the next few weeks.
3. Fundraise! We have put together template letters for you to email to your network explaining why our program is important. We have three templates – former participant, advocate and attorney – to highlight different experiences of the program. Please feel free to make changes or additions! Our Day of Action will be on Thursday, June 23. We have several generous supporters who have agreed to match up to $5,000 in donations, and we want to give our friends and family more incentive to support Illinois Youth and Government.
